• Infections (Dacryocystitis): This is an infection of the lacrimal sac, often caused by bacterial infections that result from a blockage in the tear ducts.

• Clinical Examination: Inspection of the eye and nasal area by an ophthalmologist.

  • Massage and warm compresses to help open blockages, especially in babies with dacryostenosis.

  • Tear Duct Removal: Removal of obstructions or abnormal tissue in the tear ducts.
  • Laser Therapy: To remove obstructions or restore the patency of the tear ducts.
